Abengoa receives the provisional acceptance certificate of a transmission project in Mexico

  • The project included the construction of four transmission lines and two substations, amounting to 17.3 M$ (15.5 M€).
  • The transmission line will evacuate the energy produced by the combined cycle Norte III.

May 17th, 2019 - Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has completed a transmission project awarded by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) of Mexico. It included the development of four transmission lines and two substations. The contract was awarded under the scheme of “Financed Public Works” for 17.3 M$ (15.5 M€).

Abengoa was responsible for the engineering, design, construction and commissioning of four lines of 230 kV and a total length of 21.1 km; as well as two 230 kV substations with ten high-voltage feeders.

The transmission line will allow to evacuate the energy produced by the combined cycle Norte III, located in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, and whose divestment was completed by Abengoa in 2017.
